Mr Damilola Salawu
Partner, Olaniwan Ajayi LP (Head of Technology, Innovation and Fintech)
Damilola is the Partner in charge of Olaniwun Ajayi’s market-leading Technology, Innovation and Fintech Practice. In this role, he advises Nigerian and international technology companies as well as tech-enabled businesses on all aspects of their operations. Not only is he a household name in the space, but he is also a key resource person; thought leader; and trusted advisor to leading stakeholders in the ecosystem including investors, incubators and founders.
A graduate of the University of Lagos (LL. B); Bentham House, University College, London (LL.M) and the Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University (MAP), Damilola has learned to understand and solve local problems with an international perspective. He recently sharpened these skills as a Visiting Associate at the London office of Slaughter & May LLP.
He is also a reputed finance law expert; his areas of focus and experience lie in debt financings generally and in financing the development of assets and infrastructure using corporate finance and project finance approaches; and advising clients on finance deals in the technology and Fintech sector.
He is a member of the Financial Services Lawyers Association (UK) and has been recognised by international directories including Who’s Who Legal 2018 and Chambers and Partners 2019 as being “very dynamic and able to respond with good advice”.

This masterclass is brought to you by Make-IT in Africa, a Tech-Entrepreneurship initiative by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ.) It is a two-year funding programme (2017-2019) focused on supporting tech start-ups in the early growth phase.
The organiser V8 Academy provides valuable mentorship and world-class training delivered by the captain of industries for young businesses looking to up skill with the knowledge that will position their companies to succeed beyond the local and speed up growth.
